Doesn't Acupuncture hurt?
When people hear the word Acupuncture, they incorrectly think of needles and injections. Acupuncture sensations can not be compared to the feeling of an injection. The needles used for injections are much larger and hollow. Acupuncture needles are extremely fine and flexible (about the size of a human hair). When the needles are inserted, you may experience a sensation of tingling or warmth, not pain. Many patients find their treatments very relaxing, some even fall asleep.
